Descrição da vaga

  • Identify, evaluate and prioritize attractive international expansion markets through conducting market research and assess product-market-fit;
  • Support the board and the management team to decide on .which markets to enter and when;
  • Be the first on the ground in new markets to establish partnerships, set up companies and establish country management teams;
  • Build and maintain knowledge and personal relationships internally and externally;
  • Support the country management team as they ramp-up;
  • Support the organization in the coordination and execution of the strategic growth plan.

Responsabilidades e atribuições

·        M&A

-         Development and updating of investment thesis and screening criteria;

-         Screening of potential M&A targets in select categories & geographies;

-         Engage targets and partners for potential deals;

-         Coordinate Due Dilliences of targets and manage stakeholders;

-         Design value creation and integration plan.

 

·        China Deep Dive

-         Country X Ray: overview of the country geographic and demographic characteristics, as well as macro economic and political trends;

-         Beauty industry fundamentals: size and growth by channel, category, price point and player, key consumer trends, snapshot of key beauty players;

-         Market entry option set: identification of potential ways to enter the market;

-         Screening: mapping of potential partners and/or targets.

 

·        Geogaphic expansion strategy and roadmap – Initial focus in LATAM

-         Market sizing: provides information about market value and development prospects in the coming years.Identification of factors stimulating market growth, as well as barriers and formal restrictions to entering the examined market;

-         Competition analysis: players, business and sales models used, products offered, as well as prevailing marketing and pricing strategies;

-         Consumer insights: potential customers and their needs, expectations and purchasing habits;

-         Macro environment analysis: economy, legal/regulatory or other conditions influencing conducting business on a given market;

 

·        New market entry plan:

-         Analyze potential acquisitions (M&A), licenses, partnerships, alliances and strategic investments that support market entry;

-         Lead all aspects of the transaction process from business case development, contract negotiation and change management;

-         Design and implement the go-to-market plan, including direction about operational, procurement, channels, sales and marketing activities;

-         Coordinate and direct corporate resources as well as external advisor relationships (investment banks, law firms, accounting firms, regulatory firms, etc);

-         Regularly review new markets performance and map business expansion opportunities (full potential: channels, consumer target, categories);

-         Set the project milestones and cross functional roles and responsibilities, identify the resource needs.

 

·        Stakeholder Management:

-         Define processes and governance with local partners during the prospection and implementation phases, in order to achieve best level of stakeholder’s engagement;

-         Regularly review new markets performance and map opportunities to achieve the regional full potential (channels, consumer target, categories);

Requisitos e qualificações

  • Are either an ex-consultant with 3-6 years experience from a top-tier management consultant firm;
  • International expansion experience and background from scaleups;
  • Have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in management, engineering, finance or similar;
  • Should be able to lead market entry into new countries until a local management team is established;
  • Work in a structured and analytical way and you are a curious problem solver;
  • Are a self-starter, quick and a lifelong learner with a growth mindset that enjoys sharing learnings with your colleagues;
  • Like to work in teams and you are good at building internal and external networks;
  • Work well independently, are pragmatic when needed, and enjoy a dynamic everyday life where priorities and needs change;
  • If you have a strong grocery industry experience and network in Europe or North America it is a big plus, but not a requirement;
  • International expansion experience is also a plus, but not a requirement;
  • Speak and write fluently in English.
